About Me

Hi, I’m Niek — founder, editor, writer, designer, publisher, and everything in between here at CS COUPE. This is a one-man magazine, built from the ground up to celebrate what I believe is the most beautiful BMW ever made: the E9.

Originally from the Netherlands, I now live in the UK, where I work professionally in aviation. But long before flight became my career, classic cars—one in particular—had already shaped my path. When my father bought our family’s BMW E9, it became more than just a car; it became part of our family’s story. That same car, Brunhilda, still inspires everything I do with this magazine. While serving as the BMW Car Club GB’s E9 Register Chair, I quickly saw the problem: a lack of in-depth, high-quality information about the E9. No dedicated magazine, no consistent source. So in 2024, I created CS COUPE — the only printed publication in the world dedicated entirely to the BMW E9 series.

Every article, layout, and printed page is created by hand. The magazine has since found readers across every continent, showing just how international and passionate the E9 community really is.
