Issue 00 – Technical – Window Motors
Chris M.

The improved motors arrived in 1974 for the the RHD cars, but they were already available on the LHD coupes from Feb/March 1973 onwards. The later plug switches are smooth and have the red button circuit breaker under the dash.

Thank you Chris for sharing your knowledge on the subject, the article has been corrected with your input.

Issue 01 – Karmann
Chris M.

The total production numbers should be 30,565, which includes the 21 race chassis and removes the 2 presumed CSi with automatic gearbox, which, if built, had to be included in the 226xxxx VIN series.

Thank you for spotting the error. I have subsequently corrected the figures, and a revised version of Issue 01 is now available in the web store.

Lovely work, makes me smile!

Thank you for your kind words, Arthur!

CS COUPE – Suggestions

I love seeing restored cars and lowered E9s with big wheels. I also really enjoy the technical section and more articles on repairing mechanical parts found in the car would really help me.

Thank you Sal for your suggestions. We’ll do our best to find owners of restored and restomod cars to share their story with us.
If anyone has any mechanical parts they’d like to see soon, please let us know and we’ll add them to the top of the ideas & suggestions list. Thank you!

CS COUPE – Binding Quality
Thomas H.

Fantastic magazine! The bookbinding was the only weak point, the pages got loose when bending.

Thank you Thomas for your valuable feedback. We’re currently looking into additional printing options to improve the quality of the magazine.

An opportunity for a future article might be to delve into the early RHD 2800 coupes and how they were modified in the UK by the importer and not BMW. Another topic could be the pre-facelift CSi that was converted to RHD but was included in the 226xxxx VIN series.

Thank you Chris for your suggestion. You’ll be pleased to know we’ve already started research on this exact topic for a future feature.
If anyone has any suggestions for topics they’d like to read about, please let us know and we’ll ad them to the list. Thank you!

This has been noted by multiple visitors and we’re looking into additional shipping options to make the magazine more attractive to our international readers.

CS COUPE – New cover design
CS COUPE Editor

With the launch of Issue 02 comes our newly designed cover. Although we liked the matt coating, the material didn’t feel as good as gloss. However, the new full page cover image and redesigned spine are permanent. Issues 00 & 01 have been updated with the new styling.
